We could easily go on and on about the records this signature sail has already broken on multiple occasions… However, we would much rather keep it simple and explain KONCEPT’s many virtues… 

KONCEPT RANGE – SPEED VS SLALOM?

The set-up of the KONCEPT range was already totally reworked for 2020 and the 4-camber Speed sizes (4.7 – 5.2 – 5.7) had been dropped from the Koncept line-up. These Speed Specials, as we previously called them, are a separate range under the name KA Speed and the 3-camber Slalom sizes 6.2 – 6.6 – 7.0 – 7.7 – 8.6 will continue under the KONCEPT range as before.

BLISTERING SPEED, ACCELERATION AND LIGHTWEIGHT ERGONOMICS

It’s all about the right combination! KONCEPT combines the blistering top speed and acceleration of a full-blooded race sail with the user friendliness of a freeride sail. Thanks to the lightweight ergonomics of the KONCEPT, you will hardly know it’s there when you are blasting down your local speed strip or racing your friends. 

PERFECT BALANCE AND STABILITY

The KONCEPT offers the perfect balance and stability with a 3 cam set-up and an optimised twist for a more all-round performance. You would certainly expect such high performance characteristics in a high end race sail and Koncept does this without it becoming a monster that only giants can hang on to. All this is achieved by a combination of reasonably high foil tension, 3 cams, 7 carbon composite battens and a moderately wide luff sleeve featuring super lightweight hi-tech 2 mil tri-axial X-ply. Furthermore, a revised panel lay-out has reduced the overall weight of the KONCEPT;  and the brand new graphic updates and fresh new blue/yellow colour combination will make you stand out on the water for sure! 

RDM VS SDM CAMBERS

All sizes are supplied standard with SDM cams. A replacement set is also available of course to make the switch between SDM and RDM.
